How to Add Knowledge Sources for the AI Agent
Learn how to add text files and Swagger files as knowledge sources for the AI Agent in OmniServe so it can answer customer questions accurately and integrate with your APIs.
Knowledge sources give the AI Agent the information it needs to answer customer questions accurately. You can upload two types of sources: text files containing your FAQs and documentation, and Swagger files that connect the agent to your APIs and external systems.

Adding a Text File
Step 1. Select a Text File
In the Knowledge Sources section, choose Text File. A popup window will appear where you can browse your file system or drag and drop the file directly.
Step 2. Upload the File
Click Upload to add the file to your knowledge sources list. The file will immediately show a Scanning status. No further action is needed to move it forward.
Step 3. Manage Uploaded Files
To download a file, click Download to retrieve it in its original format. To delete a file, click Delete. A confirmation prompt will warn you that this action cannot be undone. Once confirmed, the file is removed from the list and a confirmation message will appear in the top right corner of the screen.
Adding a Swagger File
Swagger files document your RESTful APIs and allow the AI Agent to integrate with external systems such as booking platforms or banking systems. JSON and YAML file formats are supported.
Step 1. Select a Swagger File
Choose Swagger from the knowledge source options. A popup window will appear where you can browse your file system or drag and drop the file.
Step 2. Upload the File
Click Upload to add the file to your knowledge sources list. The file will immediately show a Processing status.
Step 3. View API Endpoints
Click View Endpoints to open a popup listing all endpoints contained in the Swagger file. The total number of endpoints appears in the bottom left corner of the popup. Use the search bar to find a specific endpoint by name, click the search icon or press Enter to run the search. The endpoint count will update to reflect your results. Note that it may take a few seconds for endpoints to load.
