How Triggers and Frequency Settings Work on Embedded Surveys
A reference guide to Frequency Settings for embedded surveys in Lucidya, including how to control when surveys appear to visitors and when they stop showing.
Frequency Settings control when your embedded survey appears to website visitors and when it stops showing. This feature is available for embedded surveys only and is found under Display Settings → Frequency Settings in the embedded survey builder.
Display Frequency: When to Show
Display Every Session shows the survey to visitors during every browsing session. A session typically ends when a user closes their browser or after 30 minutes of inactivity. When they return to your site a new session begins and the survey can appear again.
Display Once shows the survey only once per visitor using browser cookies. If a visitor clears their cookies or visits from a different device or browser they may see the survey again.

Stop Displaying After: When to Stop
Click Submit Button stops the survey from displaying once the visitor submits their response.
After Closing Popup stops the survey from displaying once the visitor closes the popup, regardless of whether they submitted.
Both conditions can be enabled at the same time. If both are selected the survey stops displaying as soon as either condition is met, whichever happens first.
