How to Analyze a Single Post in Social Listening

Learn how to run a detailed Post Analysis on any individual post in Social Listening to receive a report on engagement, reach, sentiment, audience demographics, and interactors by email.

Social Listening lets you run a detailed analysis on any individual post to understand how it performed. The analysis covers engagement, reach, sentiment, audience demographics, and more, delivered as a report to your email.

Before You Start

Single post analysis works similarly to a historical data request and consumes posts from your subscription allowance. Check your remaining post allowance before submitting a request.

Step 1. Navigate to the Post

Go to your monitor in Social Listening and open the Posts section under the Content heading. All posts collected by the monitor are displayed here.

Step 2. Open Post Analysis

Click the Post Analysis icon on the post you want to analyze.

Step 3. Set the Request Details

A popup window will appear. Enter the number of posts you want to consume for this request and define the time range for the analysis. Click Request to submit.

Step 4. Receive the Report

A detailed report will be sent to your email once the analysis is complete. The report includes the following:

  • Interactions: total engagements with the post
  • Expected Reach: estimated number of people who saw the post
  • Expected Engagement: predicted interaction levels based on content
  • Response Timeline: timing of replies to the post
  • Total Interactors: number of individuals who engaged
  • Verified Interactors: count and percentage of verified accounts among interactors
  • Top Interactors: list of the most engaged individuals
  • Comment Sentiment Analysis: breakdown of comments by positive, negative, and neutral sentiment
  • Dialects and Sub-dialects: types of dialects used in comments
  • Geographic Data interaction distribution by country and city
  • Gender and Account Type: engagement distribution by gender and account type
  • Sentiment Over Time: changes in sentiment across the timeframe
  • Comments and Replies: detailed overview of comments and responses
