How to Combine Data Sources in a Dashboard

How to Combine Data Sources in a Dashboard

Learn how to combine and aggregate supported data sources in a single dashboard for a unified view of your data.

Dashboards support unified data sources, allowing any supported sources to be combined and aggregated in a single dashboard. Analysts and insights teams use this to view public accounts, managed accounts, and keywords together in one place, instead of building separate dashboards per source type.

What You Can Do

  • Combine any supported data sources in a single dashboard
  • Aggregate data across mixed sources in one view, such as a Facebook public account alongside an X keyword
  • Filter the combined data by the dashboard's date range and filters

Before You Start

  • You need access to create dashboards in your workspace.
  • At least one supported data source (monitor or channel) must be available in your workspace.
  • Supported sources are: Public Accounts (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube), Managed Accounts (Facebook, Instagram), and Keywords (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, News & Blogs).

Step by Step

Step 1 - Navigate to Dashboards Go to Home → Dashboards.

Step 2 - Create a new dashboard Click the "+ Create Dashboard" button in the top right corner and enter a unique name for your dashboard.

Step 3 - Select your data sources Choose the data sources you want to include. There is no source type selection step, and sources of different types can be selected together in the same dashboard.

Step 4 - Build your dashboard Proceed to the dashboard canvas and add your widgets. Widgets aggregate data across all selected sources in one view.

Frequently asked questions

Which data sources can I combine in one dashboard?

You can combine Public Accounts (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube), Managed Accounts (Facebook, Instagram), and Keywords (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, News & Blogs). Any combination of these sources can be aggregated in a single dashboard.

Do I still need to choose between Core Sources and New Sources?

No, the Core and New source types are removed. All data sources are unified, and you select sources directly without a type selection step.

Which dashboards support unified data sources?

Unified data sources apply to Aggregate Dashboards and Custom Dashboards, in both Social Listening and CXM. This applies to dashboards only, not the Social Listening product itself.
