How to Manage Your Connections in Lucidya

How to Manage Your Connections in Lucidya

Learn how to connect, reconnect, monitor, and disconnect data source accounts in Lucidya from the Connections page, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Genesys.

The Connections page is where you connect, reconnect, and manage all your data source accounts in one place. Authentication is account-scoped, meaning any authorized team member can manage connections without affecting other accounts or workflows.

What You Can Do

  • Connect and authenticate data source accounts including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Genesys, and more
  • Monitor connection status and expiry dates at a glance
  • Reconnect accounts before or after expiry
  • View which monitors and channels are using each connected account
  • Disconnect or delete accounts when no longer needed

Step 1. Navigate to Connections

Go to Settings → Connections.

All connected accounts are grouped by data source. Unconnected sources available to your company appear below the connected ones.

Step 2. Add a New Account

Click the data source you want to connect. If no account is linked yet, an Add Account button will appear. The authentication flow adapts to each data source.

For Facebook, select a connected Facebook account and choose from your available Facebook Pages. For Instagram, select the Instagram account and then select the linked Facebook Page. For Genesys, enter your API credentials, the system validates them automatically. For all other sources, follow the on-screen authentication flow.

Step 3. Review Account Details

Once connected, click any account to open its side drawer. Here you can review the account name, username, and profile picture, the expiry countdown or days since expiry, which monitors and channels are using this account, and the full activity log showing connect, reconnect, and disconnect events.

How to Reconnect an Account

Before expiry, when fewer than 8 days remain an orange Expire In indicator appears on the account. Click the three-dot menu and select Reconnect to refresh the token without interrupting any active monitors.

After expiry, the status changes to Expired and all related monitors, channels, and hashtags pause automatically. Reconnect from the three-dot menu — once successful everything resumes automatically with no manual steps needed.

Authenticating While Working

You do not need to visit the Connections page every time you need to authenticate. Authentication is available inline in two places.

When creating a monitor, click Add Facebook Account or Authenticate. A two-step popup opens. Complete it and return to your monitor with no inputs lost.

When adding a channel in Manage Channels, click Add Channel, choose a category, and either select from existing authenticated accounts or authenticate a new one on the spot.

Where How
Monitor → Create Monitor Click Add Facebook Account or Authenticate — a 2-step pop-up opens. Complete it and return to your monitor with no inputs lost.
Monitor → Manage Channels Click Add Channel — Choose any category. Setup Channel to choose from existing accounts, or you can authenticate a new account.

How to Disconnect or Delete an Account

To disconnect: click the three-dot menu on the account and select Disconnect. This removes the token and pauses associated monitors and channels but keeps the account record in the system.

To delete: click the three-dot menu and select Delete. This permanently removes the connection, tokens, scopes, and permissions. This action cannot be undone.

Both actions show a confirmation popup explaining the full impact before proceeding.
