Public Reviews Capabilities and Limitations

A reference guide to Public Reviews data collection in Social Listening, including the 20+ supported platforms (Google Maps, TripAdvisor, Booking, Glassdoor, G2), latency, and data structure.

Public Reviews in Lucidya Social Listening collect customer feedback from review platforms, giving organizations visibility into ratings, opinions, complaints, and experiences that customers share publicly. Lucidya collects and analyzes these reviews to help teams understand customer sentiment, identify recurring themes, and detect service gaps.

Supported Platforms

Lucidya collects public reviews from over 20 platforms: Google Maps, Google Play Store, Apple App Store, Facebook Page Reviews, HungerStation, Uber Eats, Booking, Airbnb, Expedia, TripAdvisor, Indeed, Glassdoor, G2, Product Hunt, eBay Seller, eBay Item, Goodreads, AliExpress, Gartner, Zomato, and Google Shopping.

Data Collection

Source: Data Vendor.

Latency: Reviews are collected every 4 hours for most platforms. TripAdvisor and Glassdoor may take up to 24 hours due to their review moderation and approval process. Occasional delays may exceed expected latency depending on the source platform.

Historical Data Access: Available since the review profile was created in Lucidya.

Data Structure

Each review profile (account) includes the profile name, description, logo, total reviews count, average rating, address, and permalink.

Each review includes the reviewer's profile picture and name, review text, rating, title (where supported, such as Booking), date, permalink (where available, not all platforms provide a direct review link), and review response if one exists. Some fields such as Reviewer Title are platform-specific (for example, Glassdoor includes job titles).

The structure and availability of review data varies between platforms. Not all fields are available on every platform.
