TikTok Public Engagements in OmniServe

TikTok Public Engagements in OmniServe

An overview of TikTok public comments, replies, and mentions in OmniServe, including supported engagement types and limitations.

OmniServe now supports TikTok as a public engagement data source across the platform. Your team can receive, manage, and reply to public TikTok comments, replies, and mentions on your accounts from the same Inbox used for X, Facebook, and Instagram. This unifies engagement coverage across all your social platforms with the same filters, views, and workflows you already use.

Capabilities

What TikTok Public Engagements Can Do

  • Display public TikTok comments, replies, and mentions in the OmniServe Inbox with the same views, filters, and engagement actions as other data sources
  • Reply to public engagements directly from the reply box, including AI Suggestions, Saved Replies, translation, emoji, GIFs, and media uploads
  • Reflect TikTok data across Inbox, SLAs, and Agents analytics, including all widgets, filters, and exports
  • Support TikTok in Managed Channels, Automated Replies to Comments, Saved Replies, Tags, Custom Fields, and Completion Reasons
  • Include TikTok in Reports, Alerts, Inbound Routing and SLAs, and user access permissions

What TikTok Public Engagements Cannot Do

  • Receive or send TikTok direct messages (public engagements only)
  • Send In-Chat Surveys or collect CSAT scores for TikTok engagements
  • Send automated greeting messages, farewell messages, or farewell surveys on TikTok

Engagement Types

OmniServe receives five types of public TikTok engagements:

  • Comment on your post: shows the post details and the comment
  • Reply to a comment on your post: shows the post, the parent comment, and the reply
  • Mention in a post: shows the post details
  • Mention in a comment: shows the post and the comment (the post author appears as anonymous)
  • Mention in a reply: shows the post and the reply (the post author appears as anonymous)

Each engagement includes the profile picture, display name, text or caption, creation date, number of likes, and an external link to open it on TikTok. Posts also include the video thumbnail and number of comments.

Limitations

  • Replies on TikTok are limited to 150 characters.
  • For a mention in a reply on a post you do not own, the parent comment cannot be retrieved due to a TikTok limitation.
  • If a mention comment contains media, TikTok does not send the media due to privacy limitations.
  • TikTok does not indicate whether a user has blocked your account. If you reply to a comment from a user who has blocked you, the reply is accepted by the system but will not appear on TikTok.

Permissions Required

  • Access to the OmniServe product
  • A TikTok account authenticated under Settings → Company Accounts
  • TikTok added as a channel under Monitor → Managed Channels
  • Account and channel access granted to the relevant users under Settings → Users

الأسئلة الشائعة

Which TikTok engagements appear in OmniServe?

Public engagements only: comments on your posts, replies to comments on your posts, and mentions of your account in posts, comments, or replies. TikTok direct messages are not supported.

Can I automate replies to TikTok comments?

Yes. Go to Configurations → Inbox Configs → Automated Replies to Comments and enable Send Automated Comment Replies for TikTok. Greeting messages, farewell messages, and farewell surveys are not supported on TikTok.

‍

Does TikTok data appear in analytics and reports?

Yes. TikTok is available as a data source and monitor/channel filter across Inbox, SLAs, and Agents analytics, and in report creation. In-Chat Survey analytics and CSAT metrics do not include TikTok.

Why did my reply not appear on TikTok?

The most likely cause is that the user has blocked your account. TikTok accepts the reply from OmniServe but does not display it on the platform, and it does not notify Lucidya that you are blocked.
